Davante Adams' postgame incident with an on-field worker was one of the biggest stories this past week in the NFL. Adams is facing legal consequences for his actions, and Las Vegas Raiders fans are anxious to find out if the league will also discipline him after the team's bye.

Now Las Vegas has received an update on the timeline for decision on the matter.

NFL insider Ian Rapoport reports the league won't hand down any kind of punishment until Adams' legal situation is resolved. This is huge news for the Raiders, since the wideout's court date isn't until Nov. 10. That means he'll remain active for the immediate future.

The league office waiting to make a decision is big break for the Raiders. Many were bracing for Adams to miss Week 7, and potentially longer, after this past Monday's slip-up. Instead, he should be available for as long as it takes to sort out his legal matters.

After starting the year 1-4, Las Vegas needs Adams around if this team is to have any shot at turning things around. The All-Pro WR has done his part in the early going, racking up 29 receptions, 414 yards and 5 TDs over the first five games.
