Bowl season is underway after an exciting 2022 college football campaign. One successful program taking part in the festivities once again is the Purdue Boilermakers, who will take on the LSU Tigers in the Citrus Bowl on Monday, Jan. 2.

Here's everything you need to know about Purdue's bowl game history before making its next appearance.

Purdue Bowl Game History

Purdue has frequented the college football postseason throughout its history. The Boilermakers have played in 20 bowls prior to facing LSU

The Boilermakers made their first bowl appearance in 1967 when they defeated USC 14-13 at the Rose Bowl.

Purdue has also won two of their last three bowl appearances. Most recently, the Boilermakers defeated Tennessee 48-45 in last year's Music City Bowl.
