Padres Reveal NLCS Game 3 Starter

Updated:
The 2022 NLCS is underway, as the Philadelphia Phillies topped the San Diego Padres, 2-0, in Game 1. As the Padres prepared for Game 2 on Wednesday, they announced who their starting pitcher will be for Game 3 when the series shifts to Philadelphia on Friday.
Padres NLCS Game 3 Starter
After starting Yu Darvish in Game 1 and Blake Snell in Game 2, San Diego will give the ball to Joe Musgrove in Game 3.
Musgrove has come up big in both of his postseason starts thus far, throwing 7 innings of 1-hit ball against the New York Mets in the clinching game of the NL Wild Card Series and holding the Los Angeles Dodgers to 2 runs over 6 innings in the deciding game of the NLDS.
The 29-year-old has been remarkably clutch in two pressure-packed starts thus far, and Game 3 won't be any different. Depending on how Game 2 plays out, it will either be a pivotal swing game if the series is tied or a virtual must-win if the Padres are down 0-2.
Based on how he's pitched in these playoffs so far, it seems Musgrove will be up to the task against a tough Phillies lineup. San Diego currently has +175 odds to win the series on FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds.
