The Denver Broncos have been aggressive in upgrading their roster ever since free agency opened. After a string of deals, the latest buzz that has fans excited is star safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson showing interest in the Broncos on social media.

Now a new rumor has only added fuel to that fire.

NFL insider Aaron Wilson reports the Broncos have mutual interest in CJGJ. Denver "among the teams" looking at the talented safety, so that phrasing makes it clear they're not the only ones in the hunt.

It's easy to see how Gardner-Johnson could help takes this defense to new heights. He's coming off of a career year in 2022, racking up an NFL-high 6 interceptions along with 8 pass breakups for the Philadelphia Eagles while helping them reach the Super Bowl.

That showing was bound to get the league's attention, so it's no surprise that several franchises are eyeing the 25-year-old. However, with Gardner-Johnson also teasing his interest in the Broncos, they may have a leg up in negotiations.

It remains to be seen if Denver can, in fact, land the playmaker. He'd fit right into a secondary that already features the likes of Justin Simmons and Patrick Surtain.
