More Scary Details Emerge from Asdrubal Cabrera's Venezuelan Winter League Brawl

Updated:
The sports world may be a few weeks removed from the World Series, but that hasn't stopped baseball from stealing the headlines. Unfortunately, for all of the wrong reasons.
Former New York Met and Cleveland Guardian Asdrubal Cabrera incited a scary brawl in the Venezuelan Winter League. Playing first base, Cabrera reacted very poorly to a home run by Carlos Castro. The clip of the Cabrera's inciting punch is below. And if that wasn't bad enough, more scary details emerged on Monday morning.
MLB insider Hector Gomez shared a video of the brawl which shows pitcher Edubray Ramos (team Tiburones de la Guaira) throwing a baseball with full force into the middle of the fight. The ball struck Liarvis Breto (team Caribes de Anzoategui) in the head.
The event is a lesson for the entire sport. Modern baseball has accepted forms of celebration, showboating with bat flips and other fun dugout antics. But many of the older baseball generation have yet to accept this change.
The change is ultimately a good thing and adds a level of entertainment that baseball's never seen in its lengthy history. Regardless, this brawl went too far and we all hope Breto makes a full recovery from the incident.
