Mike Vrabel Finally Makes Choice on Starting Quarterback for Week 18

Mike Vrabel Finally Makes Choice on Starting Quarterback for Week 18

Updated:

The Tennessee Titans set themselves up for a true winner-take-all matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 18. All eyes will be on this crucial AFC South affair as the winner advances to the playoffs and the loser gets sent packing.

Unfortunately, Tennessee will be without starting quarterback Ryan Tannehill once again, as he is on the IR with an ankle injury. Fill-in starter Joshua Dobbs injected some much-needed life into Tennessee's offense during its Week 17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, and now head coach Mike Vrabel has finally named his starting QB for the regular-season finale.

Tennessee Titans Quarterback Week 18

To no surprise, it will be Dobbs getting the start again over rookie Malik Willis.

Just hours after Tennessee's loss on Thursday night, Vrabel was uncommitted about his choice. Perhaps that was just some gamesmanship, but it would be shocking if he went back to Willis. Willis looked very much like a rookie in his three starts, failing to reach 100 passing yards in any of them.

The Titans enter Week 18 as 6.5-point road underdogs, per NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
