Kayvon Thibodeaux’s Madden 23 Rating Reportedly Leaked

As the 2022 football season approaches, that can only mean one thing for video game fans: the next installment in EA Sports' Madden NFL franchise. While fans are increasingly excited to find out their favorite players overall rating, some are also looking forward to seeing how the incoming rookie class is rated.

Although ratings haven't been revealed just yet, New York Giants rookie EDGE Kayvon Thibodeaux's rating leaked on Tuesday. The former Oregon product has been listed at a 76 overall in the leak while also having the super-star development trait in franchise mode.

It can be argued that 76 is too low of an overall for Thibodeaux. Nobody was expecting him to be a top-rated player as a rookie, but he was the fifth overall selection at the 2022 NFL Draft and is seen as an NFL-ready talent.

On the other hand, fans who play franchise mode will have a chance to develop Thibodeaux into the superstar that the Giants believe he can be. Besides, Thibodeaux can help raise his overall by playing strongly between EA Sports roster updates.

Thibodeaux brings high expectations with him after recording 126 tackles (35.5 for loss), 19.0 sacks and three forced fumbles in 30 games over three seasons with the Oregon Ducks. Not only will he be a fun player to watch on the field, but also to control in Madden NFL 23.

Fortunately, fans won't have to wait that much longer to play as the Giants or their other favorite teams. Madden NFL 23 is scheduled to be released Friday, Aug. 19.

Thibodeaux shouldn't have much of an issue being one of the top defensive rookies this year. He currently has the second-best odds (+550) to be named the 2022 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
