Josh Jacobs Injury Update Cements Elite Fantasy Outlook in Week 15

The fantasy football playoffs are here, and one player you're going to find on the roster of a playoff team in just about every league is Josh Jacobs. The RB1 in standard scoring and RB2 in PPR scoring, Jacobs has returned massive value on his average draft position (ADP) of 49.0 from this offseason.

He has been banged up in recent weeks though, which raised some real concerns for managers playing their first playoff game in Week 15.

Those managers got some great news early Sunday morning.

Josh Jacobs Injury Update

Despite nursing both a quad and hand injury, Jacobs is expected to play against the New England Patriots on Sunday. This doesn't come as much of a surprise considering he played through the hand injury in Week 14 and was getting in limited practices all week. He's not 100%, but he is still an elite fantasy option this week.

Josh Jacobs Fantasy Outlook

Hindered by injury in Week 14, Jacobs showed just how ridiculous his fantasy floor is at this point. He had a down game by his standards, averaging only 3.67 yards per carry. Of course, when you're running the ball 27 times that average still leads to some great numbers. He finished with 99 yards and a touchdown, scoring 19.4 PPR fantasy points.

He hasn't touched the ball fewer than 27 times in a game since Week 9, and there are no indications that we'll see anything different this week.

He draws a tough matchup against the Patriots (second fewest fantasy points per game allowed to opposing RBs), but you're simply not going to bench Jacobs in any matchup at this point.

Jacobs checks in at RB4 in The Duel's Week 15 PPR fantasy football rankings.
