Jets vs Packers Prediction, Odds & Best Bet for Week 6

Updated:

The NFL Week 6 schedule includes a few inter-conference matchups, including one between the New York Jets and Green Bay Packers. The Jets have caught a lot of people off guard by winning three of their last four games, however, it might be tough continuing that success with the Packers looking to bounce back from their loss to the Giants in London.

Jets vs Packers Odds

According to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, the Packers are a clear-cut -340 favorite on the moneyline (7-point spread) in a game with an over/under of 45.5.

What should NFL fans expect in this matchup, and where can bettors find value?

Jets vs Packers Prediction and Best Bet

The Jets have been impressive on paper this season, but their three wins aren't exactly impressive. The Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers have been in disarray all season, while the Miami Dolphins used their third-string quarterback last week.

Granted, the Packers haven't been perfect either, but it's hard to doubt Aaron Rodgers at Lambeau Field — a location where he has an 80.7% all-time winning percentage. It also helps that Rodgers has terrorized the Jets in his last two games against them, completing 62-of-97 passes (63.9%) for 788 passing yards and five touchdowns without an interception.

I also don't think that Zach Wilson can match Rodgers blow-for-blow. The Jets' sophomore QB has only played two games thus far, completing 56.1% of his passes while only amassing one TD with two INTs. Taking his rookie season into account as well, there's no reason to believe that Wilson can keep pace with the four-time NFL MVP.

New York's defense is also susceptible to mistakes this season, giving up the 12th-most points on the road. Given that the Packers are only giving up an average of 17.6 points over their last six home games, including three instances of 13 or fewer points allowed, it's safe to say the Packers have the Jets beat on defense too.

I'm taking Green Bay here, along with the Packers at -7 and the total hitting over 45.5 points.
