Jamaal Williams Has Badass Response to Packers' Trash Talk Ahead of Week 18
While the Detroit Lions may have finished at the bottom of the NFC North for four straight years, things are different in 2023. Detroit heads into Week 18 needing a win (and a Seattle Seahawks loss) to clinch their first playoff berth since 2016.
For their biggest game in years, the Lions will head to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers with both teams' playoff hopes hanging in the balance. Detroit's roster is well aware of the implications of this contest and the opportunity to send home Aaron Rodgers, a player that's continually mocked them for years
Lions running back Jamaal Williams has heard plenty of Rodgers' smack talk on both sides after previously playing alongside him from 2017-2020. Williams doesn't sound too concerned, however, offering a badass response ahead of Week 18.

In a playful whisper, Williams said "I don't care [about Green Bay's smack talk]. I just want to play football and go home. I just want to go home and play Pokemon."
Williams is known for his love of the animated game and clearly cares more about decompressing from Detroit's Week 17 victory than getting caught up in the back-and-forth with his former teammates.
It's not that Williams doesn't care about football, though. He clearly does. He's taken over the Lions' backfield (amidst D'Andre Swift's injuries) in a career year with 994 rushing yards and a league-high 15 rushing touchdowns. Williams is one player who lets his play do the talking, refusing to get caught up in pregame antics.
On the other side is Rodgers, who takes every opportunity to troll Detroit. Just two weeks ago he was asked about Green Bay's final three games being played against teams above .500. He responded by correcting the reporter, saying "one of them is at .500 right now.” That was a clear reference to the Lions, who were 7-7 at the time.
As it stands, Detroit is considered a 4.5-point road underdog according to the NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
