Is Giannis Antetokounmpo Playing Tonight? Latest News on Injury Status for Raptors vs Bucks (Jan. 17)

Updated:

The Milwaukee Bucks are back in action Tuesday night against the Toronto Raptors at 7:30 p.m. ET on TNT. One player's status to keep an eye in ahead of tip-off is Giannis Antetokounmpo, who's missed Milwaukee's last three games with a knee injury.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Injury Status 1/17/2023

Giannis Antetokounmpo has been ruled out on the injury report for tonight's Bucks-Raptors matchup. He was listed as questionable earlier in the day after being a late scratch before Monday's game.

Milwaukee will be ultra-cautious with its star until the team feels 100% about his health. This knee issue has caused him to miss the last three contests, so it's obviously bothering the forward in some capacity.

The Bucks would love to get Antetokounmpo back in the lineup, especially with fellow All-Star Khris Middleton nursing his own knee injury that's sidelined him since Dec. 17.

Milwaukee owns a 5-4 record in games where Antetokounmpo isn't active this season, but Mike Budenholzer's squad has dropped three of its last four without the former MVP.

Giannis Antetokounmpo Injury History

Antetokounmpo has missed time throughout his career for a variety of reasons. This season, he's popped up on the injury report mostly due to minor knee issues.

So far, Antetokounmpo has missed nine of the Bucks' 44 games this season. His most recent absence was on Jan. 16 against the Indiana Pacers due to left knee soreness.
