Iowa Bowl Game History

Iowa has frequented the college football postseason throughout its history. The Hawkeyes have played in 35 bowls all-time.

The Hawkeyes made their first bowl appearance in 1957 as part of the Big Ten Conference. They defeated Oregon State 35-19 at the Rose Bowl that year.

Iowa has only missed three bowl games since the 2001 NCAAF season. The Hawkeyes most recently played at the 2022 Music City Bowl, winning 21-0 over Kentucky.
