The 2022 World Cup is here, and that means soccer fans' attention will turn to Qatar for the next two months.

First up on the menu is group stage action with eight groups of four teams each playing a round-robin to determine which two teams will advance to the knockout stage.

A ton of soccer fans will be focused on Group G action, which consists of Brazil, Serbia, Switzerland and Cameroon. We've also gone ahead and ranked them by FanDuel Sportsbook's World Cup odds for each team to win the group.

World Cup Group G Teams and Odds

  1. Brazil (-280)
  2. Switzerland (+500)
  3. Serbia (+650)
  4. Cameroon (+2400)

There was never any doubt as to which team would be favored in Group G. Brazil enters the World Cup as the No. 1 team in FIFA's world rankings. The odds do forecast a tense battle between Serbia and Switzerland for the second spot, though. Cameroon is considered a long shot at this point.

World Cup Group G Prediction

Brazil has a whopping five World Cup titles to its name and is the favorite to be the last team standing in December at +320 odds. It has also finished at the top of its group in every World Cup since 1982. Neymar should have no trouble leading a team filled with stars to an unbeaten record in group play.

The battle to keep an eye on in Group G is the one for the second spot. Switzerland is the betting favorite and is one of only three European teams to reach the knockout stage in each of the last four major international tournaments. The Swiss know how to keep games close through all 90 minutes.

Serbia is attempting to advance to the knockout stage for the first time across what is now four World Cup appearances. Aleksander Mitrovic brings an aggressive style of play up front that makes him a threat to score at any time. An underwhelming defense will be what keeps Serbia out of the running.

Cameroon will be a tough matchup for all three competitors, but it's a team that has stumbled in recent play.

Group G Standings Prediction:

  1. Brazil (3-0-0)
  2. Switzerland (1-1-1)
  3. Serbia (0-2-1)
  4. Cameroon (0-1-2)
