Warriors Christmas Game History

The NBA made its Christmas Day debut in 1947, and the holiday has been a constant part of the league's regular-season schedule ever since.

The Warriors have made numerous Christmas appearances throughout the team's history, which includes stops in Philadelphia and San Francisco before taking on the Golden State moniker in 1971. This franchise played its first game on Dec. 25th in 1948 against the Boston Celtics. The Philadelphia Warriors won that contest 80-77.

In all, the Warriors have made 32 all-time appearances on Christmas Day. Their most recent game on Dec. 25th was in 2022 against the Memphis Grizzlies, whom they beat 123-109 at the Chase Center.
