Francisco Lindor Gives Update on Car He's Supposed to Buy Jeff McNeil

In his fifth MLB season, New York Mets 2B/LF Jeff McNeil enjoyed a career year at the plate in 2022. Not only did the performance help him land a $50 million contract extension, but he also won the batting title with an impressive .326 average.

As part of his batting crown, teammate Francisco Lindor promised to buy McNeil a brand-new car should he walk away with the league's top average.

Lindor gave an important update on this car purchase on Wednesday morning.

According to Mets insider Mike Puma, Lindor says there is "nothing yet" in terms of updates for this car purchase.

A few weeks back, McNeil did reveal that he's sent Lindor a couple of potential options. Now that Spring Training is getting underway, the fanbase is eager to see when Lindor will finally make good on his promise.

It's unclear what type of car McNeil will walk away with, but it's safe to say Lindor has the ability to purchase him a very nice new vehicle using the funds from his 10-year, $341 million contract.
