FAU vs Miami Odds Released for Possible NCAA Championship Matchup

The NCAA Men's Final Four is here, meaning college basketball fans everywhere are thinking about which two teams could face off for the title on Monday, April 3. Seeing two unlikely teams go head-to-head in the Florida Atlantic Owls and Miami Hurricanes is a battle viewers would surely love to see.

Even though this potential NCAA Championship showdown hasn't been confirmed, FanDuel Sportsbook has released odds for the hypothetical collision.

FAU vs Miami NCAA Championship Odds

FanDuel Sportsbook is currently listing Miami as a 1.5-point favorite in this potential title game. The Hurricanes have -106 odds to cover the spread, while the Owls check in with -114 odds to cover as 1.5-point underdogs. Odds for the moneyline, point total, and player props have yet to be released.

It would've sounded insane to say a 9-seed and a 5-seed would be meeting in the Championship prior to the start of March Madness, but it speaks for why the tournament got its nickname in the first place. Both FAU and Miami have rarely been favored in past rounds, but that hasn't mattered at all.

This potential showdown would also notably be between two schools that have never captured a title in men's basketball. In fact, this weekend marks the first time either the Owls or the Hurricanes are in the Final Four. Head coaches Dusty May and Jim Larranaga deserve a ton of credit for their work.

For now, FAU heads into Saturday as a 2.5-point underdog against 5-seed San Diego State with +128 moneyline odds to win. Miami is listed as a 5.5-point underdog with +202 moneyline odds ahead of a matchup against the 4-seed UConn Huskies. It'll be interesting to see if more upsets are on the way.
