FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for the Wells Fargo Championship 2023 at Quail Hollow

Updated:

With big-name players getting ready for this elevated event, the PGA Tour is heading to Quail Hollow for the Wells Fargo Championship.

Let's take a look at three golfers to consider when putting together your fantasy team this week.

Wells Fargo Championship 2023 Fantasy Picks

Rory McIlroy Fantasy

McIlroy has dominated at Quail Hollow throughout his career. He's won this event three times and in 10 total appearances in this event, he's only finished outside of the top 10 spots twice before. That's an insane level of consistency.

McIlroy missed the cut in two of his last three starts but had a third-place finish sandwiched in between them. He already has three total top-3 finishes this season in just seven events. McIlroy took some time off after missing the cut at Augusta but now comes to a place where he is incredibly comfortable, and that should shine through this week.

Max Homa Fantasy

Max Homa is the defending champ in this event, so he knows how to have success on this course. While he's been in a bit of a slump lately, Homa was on one hell of a run prior to that, grabbing six top-10 finishes in a span of eight starts from the start of December to the end of March.

I expect Homa to recapture that hot streak at Quail Hollow, a course that can play to his strengths.

Wells Fargo Championship Sleepers

Jason Day Fantasy

Jason Day is another past winner of this event and also has two other top-10 finishes at Quail Hollow outside of that win, one of which came against a very elite field at the PGA Championship. While Day has dealt with injuries and struggles the past few seasons, he has made a bit of a comeback this season and comes into this event with five top-10 finishes in his last seven starts.

Day hasn't played since a disappointing T39 at Augusta, but coming back to this course after some time off should be exactly what helps Day put up a good performance this week.
