FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for the Mexico Open 2023 at Vidanta Vallarta

Updated:

With some big-name players taking the week off ahead of an elevated event, that leaves the field and tournament wide open at the 2023 Mexico Open.

Let's take a look at three golfers to consider when putting together your fantasy team this week.

Mexico Open 2023 Fantasy Picks

Jon Rahm Fantasy

Rahm is fresh off a win at The Masters, which was the biggest win of his career by a mile. He is the No. 1 player in the world and enters as the defending champion at an event with a weak field. It's almost impossible not to love him this week. This is only the second time this PGA Tour event is happening, and Rahm won it last year.

Rahm is also on fire this season, even outside of his Masters win. In 11 events played so far this season, he has seven top-10 finishes and four wins. That's a run you simply do not bet against, especially when he's in a weaker field.

Patrick Rodgers Fantasy

Patrick Rodgers started 2023 with a really rough stretch of golf, missing the cut in six of his eight starts in January, February and March. Things have begun to turn around in April, however. In his last two starts, he finished fifth and T19, both at events with much more elite fields than the one he will be a part of this week.

Rodgers now comes into the Mexico Open, a place where he finished 10th a year ago. Between his recent play and past success here, Rodgers seems poised for another great outing.

Mexico Open Sleepers

Brandon Wu Fantasy

Brandon Wu has had an up-and-down season thus far. He's finished as high as T2 in the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and has five overall top-30 finishes, but he's also missed six cuts in 19 starts.

Coming back to Vidanta Vallarta should be a remedy for success, though. Wu placed T2 here last year, losing to Rahm by just one stroke.

Considering Wu's past success and price for this week, it's really difficult not to like him here.
