FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for the Sony Open in Hawaii 2023 at Waialae Country Club

FanDuel Fantasy Golf Picks for the Sony Open in Hawaii 2023 at Waialae Country Club

Updated:

The PGA Tour is preparing for its next event, which is the Sony Open in Hawaii at
Waialae Country Club in Honolulu, Hawaii.

This field is missing the super elite feel of last week's tournament, but there are still plenty of notables teeing it up this week.

Let's take a look at three golfers to consider when putting together your fantasy team this week.

Sony Open in Hawaii 2023 Fantasy Picks

Jordan Spieth Fantasy

Jordan Spieth hasn't played much golf up to this point in the PGA Tour season, but he has played well in his last two events. Both outings contained extremely elite fields, but he placed No. 15 at the Hero World Challenge and grabbed a T13 at the Sentry Tournament of Champions just last week. Now he comes into an event with a less packed field, and also on a course where he's seen some success. While he has missed the cut in two of his four professional outings here, in the other two starts he placed 18th and 3rd. I'll take Spieth to get back on track in Hawaii and keep his recent play rolling and improving.

Corey Conners Fantasy

Corey Conner has gotten off to a hot start this season. In five starts so far this season, Conners has never placed outside the top-25 and has three finishes inside the top 20. He also finished 8th at the QBE Shootout in early December. Conner's real draw comes from his history in this event. He's played in it four times as a pro and has finished in the top 12 in three of those years. In 2019 he came away with a third-place finish. Expect another strong showing from Conners this season in Hawaii.

Harris English Fantasy

Harris English has played a ton of golf this season, already appearing in seven events this season. He hasn't missed a cut since October and is coming off a team 3rd-place finish at the QBE Shootout. English also has a ton of experience on this course compared to much of the rest of the field. He's played in this event 10 times in his career and only missed the cut once. While he's only got one top 25 finish in the last four outings, he has had success here in the past. He had three consecutive top-10 finishes here form 2013-2015. Take a chance on him recapturing that magic.
