FanDuel Fantasy Basketball Picks & Lineup Tonight for 1/10/2023 (Back Donovan Mitchell in Return to Utah)

Updated:

The 2022-23 NBA season is in full swing. If you need some advice on your FanDuel fantasy basketball lineup for tonight's slate, The Duel is here to help.

Here are three players to target and two to avoid in Tuesday, 1/10, NBA DFS action.

NBA DFS Picks Tonight 1/10/2023

Donovan Mitchell Fantasy

Target Donovan Mitchell, SG/PG, Cleveland Cavaliers ($8,900): Donovan Mitchell will return to Utah tonight for the first time since he was traded to Cleveland this offseason. Though there's no bad blood here, the All-Star guard would surely like to show his old team he's happy to be a Cav. He'll have that opportunity against a porous Utah defense that's giving up the seventh-most points per game and ranks fourth worst in defensive rating. That sets him up to thrive as both a scorer and distributor on Monday, which could lead to a monster Revenge Game.

Scottie Barnes Fantasy

Target Scottie Barnes, PF/SF, Toronto Raptors ($7,700): Scottie Barnes enters tonight with some great momentum following a big outing. He popped off for 52.8 FanDuel fantasy points in his last time out, stuffing the stat sheet like he's known for with 22 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocks. Now he faces a depleted Charlotte Hornets team that's weak across the board. The Hornets allow the third-most PPG, fourth-most APG and third-most RPG, teeing up Barnes to fill up the box score tonight.

Duane Washington Fantasy

Target Duane Washington, SG, Phoenix Suns ($4,700): Duane Washington has taken advantage of the increased role afforded by Phoenix's current injury woes. With Devin Booker and Chris Paul out or limited in each of the past two games, Washington posted 25.9 and 26.7 fantasy points in back-to-back contests. He's racked up 38 points and 10 assists during this stretch, pitching in to fill the scoring and playmaking holes left behind by the Suns' ailing stars. Washington is an excellent value play with Booker and Paul out again tonight.

Stephen Curry Fantasy

Avoid Stephen Curry, PG, Golden State Warriors ($9,400): Stephen Curry is expected to make his return on Monday after nearly a month away, but that doesn't mean he needs to be in lineups. Curry will have major rust to shake off following an 11-game absence. It'd also be no surprise if the Golden State Warriors play it safe with their star and hold him to limited minutes in his first contest back. Many are excited to see Curry on the floor again, but give him some time to find his groove again.

Josh Giddey Fantasy

Avoid Josh Giddey, SG/PG, Oklahoma City Thunder ($7,500): Josh Giddey simply hasn't had much going for him lately. He's notched 25 fantasy points or fewer in two of his last three appearances thanks to struggles scoring the ball (16 points or fewer in two of three games). Now he's set to face a Miami Heat team holding opponents to the second-fewest PPG and boasting the sixth-best defensive rating. Giddey and his Oklahoma City Thunder teammates will likely struggle in this one.
