Dominic Thiem French Open Prediction 2023
Dominic Thiem enters the 2023 French Open as one of the more experienced pros in the field as he owns a 28-9 record at Roland Garros across nine appearances. He has made the finals twice in that span, but keep in mind that those appearances came in 2018 and 2019 when Thiem was at his best.
More 2023 French Open betting content from The Duel:
Thiem hasn't been able to find that same level of success at the last two French Opens, as he has been eliminated in the first round both times. It's a pair of results that do not inspire much confidence moving forward. He hasn't made it out of the first round of a grand slam tournament in over two years.
To drive the point home, Thiem has been working on his skills in smaller ATP events as of late, staying away from top competition. His grand slam title at the 2020 U.S. Open seems more like an outlier now than it does a place he can get back to. I'd avoid backing Thiem in any way at the 2023 French Open.
