Updated:

Christmas and the NFL make a perfect pairing. The holiday has long been a featured part of the league's regular-season schedule, leading to some memorable moments.

One team that's no stranger to Christmas Day action is the Denver Broncos. Here's everything you need to know about the Broncos' history on Christmas.

Broncos Christmas Game History

The NFL first played games on Christmas Day in 1971, but this holiday didn't become a fixture of the regular season schedule until 1989.

Denver made its debut on Dec. 25th in 1999. The Broncos went on the road to face the Detroit Lions and emerged with a 17-7 victory.

The team returned to Christmas Day five years later, taking on the Tennessee Titans. Denver also won that contest on the road, blowing out the Titans 37-16 to make the holiday even more joyous.

The Broncos' most recent appearance on Dec. 25th came in 2022. It was unfortunately a nightmare on Christmas for Denver, as the team was blown out 51-41 by the depleted Los Angeles Rams.
