Onama vs Santos Prediction

Both fighters could use a win here after suffering losses in their latest outings. David Onama is coming off a majority decision loss to Nate Landwehr back in August. He did have back-to-back wins before that, though, finishing Gabriel Benitez (via KO) and Garrett Armfield (via technical submission)

Gabriel Santos, on the other hand, lost to Lerone Murphy via split decision at UFC 286. Santos was undefeated up until that point, leaving time to tell how he responds. Before making his debut, the 26-year-old had finished seven of his previous 10 opponents.

Santos might be the clear-cut favorite, but I'm not sure if he'll get the job done. Onama has the physical advantage, standing two inches taller with a reach that's four inches longer than Santos. He also deals out more significant strikes per minute than Santos (5.30 vs. 4.60) while absorbing fewer with a better defense rate (5.75% with 51% vs. 6.20 with 42%).

With six knockouts and four submission victories in his back pocket, Onama is more dangerous than the odds imply. If he can land some well-time shots and avoid being brought down to the mat, he'll snag the upset victory.
