Dalvin Cook Gives Update on Knee Injury After Leaving Game in Week 18

Updated:

The Minnesota Vikings entered Week 18 just hoping to get by without any major injuries ahead of the playoffs. That dream was immediately put in jeopardy after star running back Dalvin Cook headed to the medical tent with an apparent knee injury on Sunday.

Cook was able to return before being pulled, alongside the Vikings' other starters, following halftime. The RB spoke on his health after the game.

Cook said his exit was related to taking a cleat to the knee. He even showed reporters the lacerations he suffered and said bleeding was the main issue. However, he expects to be just fine for the playoffs.

This certainly is a major sigh of relief for Minnesota. Cook has been an iron man in 2022, suiting up in all 17 games despite dealing with a dislocated shoulder since the end of Sepetmber. He hasn't been slowed by his shoulder issue, recording over 1,100 rushing yards for the fourth straight season along with 10 total touchdowns.

Cook being as healthy as possible is vital to the Vikings' hopes of making a long postseason run. He and Minnesota await to see who they'll face in the Wild Card Round.
