Corbin Burnes and Brandon Woodruff Trade Rumors Take New Turn

Updated:

Milwaukee Brewers fans can't have been happy with the team's performance last season, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2017, but this is still an exciting team.

The Brewers pitching staff has always been its strong suit, and with Corbin Burnes, Brandon Woodruff and Freddy Peralta leading the way the Brewers have arguably the best top-three starters in baseball.

Earlier in the week reports began to surface that the Brewers could be looking to break up that trio through some trades this offseason, with rumors that any of the three could be available.

ESPN Insider Jeff Passan weighed in on Thursday and doused those flames with his reporting. Passan stated:

This is a welcomed update for Brewers fans who know how rare and valuable it is to have a pitching staff like they one they have put together.

Trading a guy like Woodruff could bring an incredible haul, but this is a team built to win now, and it's absolutely the right move to add to this core and build a true contender.

Regardless, with MLB free agency beginning yesterday, the hot stove rumors are already fired up.
