Brundage vs Oleksiejczuk Prediction

Oleksiejczuk made a successful return to the middleweight division back in August, picking up a TKO win over Sam Alvey. The Polish combatant is now 3-1 in his last four fights and has been victorious by KO/TKO in four of his last eight outings.

After losing his UFC pay-per-view to Nick Maximov via unanimous decision, Brundage has since picked up back-to-back wins. He defeated Dalcha Lungiambula and Tresean Gore by submission and KO, respectively, leaving time to tell if that trend continues.

In what should be a physical bout, I see Oleksiejczuk emerging as the victor. He lands more than two more significant strikes per minute (4.95) than Brundage (2.65) and has a 64% defense rating compared to the opposition's 51% mark.

Throw in the fact that Brundage has also lost two of his last five outings and it makes him tougher to trust. Unless he's completely thrown off his game, Oleksiejczuk should win.

Brundage vs Oleksiejczuk Best Bets

As far as the best bet goes, I like the idea of Oleksiejczuk winning by KO/TKO (-110). He's already knocked out four opponents since joining UFC and is 12-1 all-time when his fights are decided by either KO/TKO.

Meanwhile, Brundage has already been knocked out in his young career, suffering a TKO loss to William Knight just over two years ago. With Brundage also possessing an inferior striking defense, I won't be shocked if he's knocked out again this Saturday.

If you want to add an extra kick to this bet, I also recommend taking Oleksiejczuk by KO/TKO in Round 1 at (+200). After all, nine of his 12 knockout victories have occurred in Round 1, including each of the last seven.
