One team that's no stranger to playing in bowl games is the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers. Here's everything you need to know about CCU's bowl history before making its next appearance.

Coastal Carolina Bowl Game History

Coastal Carolina joined the FBS ranks in 2017, finally making the school bowl eligible. The Chanticleers have participated in the Division I postseason three times since then.

CCU's first bowl game appearance came in 2020. Coastal Carolina took on Liberty in the Cure Bowl, but fell in a heartbreaking 37-34 loss in overtime. The Chanticleers got a shot at Cure Bowl redemption in 2021. This time they won, defeating Northern Illinois, 47-41, to notch the program's first-ever bowl victory.

CCU made its most recent postseason appearance in the 2022 Birmingham Bowl. The Chanticleers took on East Carolina in that one, but were blown out 53-29 by the Pirates.
