One team that's no stranger to playing in bowl games is the Clemson Tigers. Here's everything you need to know about Clemson's bowl history before making its next appearance.

Clemson Bowl Game History

College football fans shouldn't be shocked to learn Clemson has built an impressive bowl game history over the years. The Tigers have have played in 49 bowl games all-time, including 17 straight.

Clemson's first bowl appearance came in the 1940 Cotton Bowl Classic under head coach Jess Neely. The Tigers took down Boston College 6-3 and earned their first bowl win. They went on to win each of their next two bowl games as well before finally losing to Miami in the 1952 Gator Bowl.

The Tigers' most recent bowl appearance came in the 2022 Orange Bowl. Clemson unfortunately fell 31-14 against Tennessee in that one.
