3 Best Prop Bets for Seahawks vs 49ers NFC Wild Card Game (Christian McCaffrey Feasts)

Updated:

The NFL Playoffs kick off with six Wild Card matchups this weekend, including a clash between the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers are listed as 9.5-point home favorites on FanDuel Sportsbook, but there are a ton of different ways for bettors to get in on the action Saturday.

Here's a look at the best prop bets for the Seahawks vs. 49ers battle, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.

Seahawks vs 49ers Playoff Prop Bets

1. Christian McCaffrey - Rushing Yards: Over 74.5 (-114)

Rain has been hitting the west coast hard over the past week and precipitation is expected to continue throughout the weekend. Unfavorable conditions mean both rushing attacks could be the main feature in this game. Christian McCaffrey draws a much better matchup than Kenneth Walker, though, considering the Seahawks rank 25th in Football Outsiders' rush defense DVOA rating. Seattle allowed 150.2 rushing yards per game (No. 30 in NFL) as well as 4.9 yards per carry (No. 26 in NFL) in the regular season. McCaffrey has tallied at least 75 rushing yards in three of his last five games and is logging 5.2 yards per carry during that span. He could hit this mark shortly after halftime.

2. DK Metcalf - Receiving Yards: Under 61.5 (-114)

There's a couple factors working against wide receiver DK Metcalf in this game. Rain obviously does not help the passing attack and neither does a standout defense. The 49ers are one of the best tackling teams in the NFL and Metcalf has experienced that first hand across two matchups. Metcalf was held to 35 yards on 4 receptions in Week 2 and was held to 55 yards on 7 receptions in Week 15. He was unable to rack up hardly any yards after the catch. San Francisco finished the regular season with the fifth-best pass defense DVOA rating and has cornerback Charvarius Ward patrolling the secondary. He has allowed a career-best 11.5 yards per completion in pass coverage this year.

3. Anytime Touchdown Scorer: George Kittle (+145)

This one doesn't need too much explaining. George Kittle has developed an insane connection with rookie quarterback Brock Purdy. The two have linked up for a whopping 7 touchdowns over the last four weeks as Kittle leads San Francisco pass-catchers with 7 red zone targets during that span. Kittle did not play in the first matchup against the Seahawks, but did torch their defense for 93 yards and 2 touchdowns on 4 receptions in Week 15. Seattle allowed the second-most yards (1,115) and tied for the seventh-most touchdowns allowed (8) to opposing TEs during the regular season. Betting on Kittle to score twice at +800 odds is an intriguing option, too.
