3 Best Prop Bets for Hurricanes vs Panthers NHL Playoffs Game 4 on May 24 (Sam Reinhart Finds the Back of the Net)

Updated:

Wednesday's slate of NHL postseason action includes a Game 4 showdown between the Carolina Hurricanes and Florida Panthers. FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NHL odds lists the contest as a pick 'em, with both Carolina and Florida having -110 odds to win. The projected total is set at 5.5 goals.

Here are three of the best NHL player prop bets for the Hurricanes-Panthers game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Hurricanes vs Panthers Player Props

1. Sam Reinhart - Any Time Goal Scorer (+230)

Bobrovsky and Matthew Tkachuk have been the main headliners during what has been a shocking postseason run by the Panthers. However, it's worth noting that Sam Reinhart is actually tied for the team lead in playoff goals (7) and has come up clutch at the most crucial of times. The 27-year-old scored against the Hurricanes in Game 3 and has now found the back of the net in five of Carolina's last six home games. He has seen at least 20 minutes on the ice to go along with 2 shots on goal in five of his last six games overall, too. This prop is too hard to pass up given the big payout.

2. Sebastian Aho - To Record 3+ Shots on Goal (-146)

The Hurricanes are not going to go down without a fight tonight as long as Sebastian Aho stays aggressive on the offensive end of the ice. The 25-year-old has tallied a total of 13 shots on goal through the first three games of this series after only posting 5 shots on goal in the team's entire second round series win over the New Jersey Devils. He is not afraid to pepper the net in hopes of getting by Sergei Bobrovsky, which is important given how dominant the Florida goaltender has been. Bettors unwilling to back the juiced odds can trust Aho to record 4+ shots on goal at +175 odds.

3. Brandon Montour - Assists: Under 0.5 (-108)

Brandon Montour finished the regular season with the second-most assists of any Florida player (57), but that success has not followed him to the postseason. In fact, he has only tallied 3 assists across 15 games and each one came in the first-round series win over the Boston Bruins. Montour has been relied on as more of a shot-taker than a shot-creator as of late given he has tallied a whopping 22 shots on goal in his last four contests. There's no reason to think that head coach Paul Maurice's strategy changes as the Panthers continue to emerge victorious.
