3 Best Prop Bets for Bucks vs Celtics on Dec. 25 (Giannis Dashes Through Boston D with Explosive X-Mas Performance)

The 2022-23 NBA season has a handful of matchups slated for Christmas Day, including a battle between the Milwaukee Bucks (22-10) and Boston Celtics (23-10). FanDuel Sportsbook clearly favors one side more than the other, listing the Celtics as 4.5-point home favorites in a game where the projected total is 225 points.

Bucks vs Celtics Player Props

1. Giannis Antetokounmpo — Points: Over 30.5 (-115)

With this being a battle of the Eastern Conference's top teams, I see Giannis Antetokounmpo stepping up in a big way. Fortunately, he's been playing fantastic basketball lately, averaging 32.9 points on 56.9% shooting in his last 15 games. Although going over 30.5 points is tough for most, it's something that Giannis has accomplished in nine of those aforementioned contests. He's also finished with over 30.5 points in six of his last 11 trips to TD Garden and even scored 36 points against the Celtics on Christmas Day 2021. Always stepping up when it counts the most, look for the 'Greek Freak' to have a massive Christmas performance.

2. Brook Lopez — Rebounds: Over 5.5 (-130)

Brook Lopez has been having one of his best campaigns in a long time. One of the areas that's up is his rebounding numbers, averaging 5.9 boards per game — his most since the 2015-16 season (7.8). He's also recording 6.1 rebounds in his last nine games, finishing with over 5.5 in six of those contests. Now, Lopez gets to face a Celtics team that is average when it comes to rebounding, allowing an average of 50.7 boards over the last three games. With Boston also shooting just 39.3% from the field in its last three contests as well, I see Lopez having plenty of opportunities to collect missed shots, finishing with the over on this prop.

3. Jayson Tatum — Points + Rebounds: Under 37.5 (-111)

Jayson Tatum is extremely talented at both scoring and rebounding, however, I predict that he'll finish with the under on this prop. Even though he's gone over in each of his last four games this season, the Bucks tend to keep him in check more often than not. Including the playoffs, Tatum is averaging a combined 30.6 points and rebounds in his last 20 meetings with the Bucks. He's finished with the under on this prop in 14 of those games, including when he was held to just 23 points and six rebounds in the last meeting back in May. While I'm certain he'll still make his presence felt, the under seems more likely for Tatum this time around.
