3 Best Prop Bets for 76ers vs Knicks Christmas Game on Dec. 25 (Georges Niang Lets it Rain From Deep)

Updated:

Two of the more star-studded teams in the Eastern Conference square off on Christmas Day as the Philadelphia 76ers visit the New York Knicks. The duo of Joel Embiid and James Harden will battle the duo of Julius Randle and RJ Barrett for positioning toward the top of the standings moving forward.

It's not just about those four pros, however. Here's a look at three of the best prop bets for the 76ers-Knicks game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA odds.

76ers-Knicks Player Props

1. Georges Niang - Made Threes: Over 1.5 (-115)

Georges Niang is certainly not the first person NBA fans recognize when looking at 76ers player props. After all, he only averages 19.9 minutes a game off the bench. Keep in mind he has shown time and time again that he isn't afraid to shoot the ball when he is on the court, though. Niang has tallied at least 5 three-point attempts in four of his last five games and has nailed a pair of shots from beyond the arc in four of those games as well. The Knicks just allowed a 45.2% three-point shooting percentage to the Chicago Bulls on Friday and allow 38.4 points per game from long range (No. 23 in NBA). This prop bet has sneaky value.

2. Julius Randle - Rebounds: Over 9.5 (-111)

Going up against Joel Embiid in the paint is going to be no easy task for Julius Randle, yet it is a task he has proven capable of completing in the past. Randle has racked up at least 10 rebounds in five of his last seven games against the 76ers dating back to the middle of the 2020-21 season. Combine that past production with the fact that Randle has logged at least 10 rebounds in each of his last six games this season and this prop bet seems like a smash spot. After all, Philadelphia gives up the fourth-most rebounds to opposing power forwards (10.9). Trust Randle on the boards.

3. De'Anthony Melton - Points: Over 11.5 (-111)

In a game full of big names, I'm going to back a second key role player on the 76ers, instead. De'Athony Melton has turned into a valuable offensive option for head coach Doc Rivers in 2022. The fifth-year pro is averaging a career-high 12.0 points per game on a reliable 41.9% shooting mark. Melton has scored at least 12 points in six of his last eight games played and has drained at least a pair of three-pointers in every one of those contests. This is expected to be a defensive battle and the Knicks will be focused on not letting Embiid dominate down low. A few early double-teams should allow for the Philly big man to find Melton open along the perimeter.
