Best Colts New Uniform Ideas
The Indianapolis Colts are set to become of one of now seven NFL teams reportedly making changes to their uniforms this offseason, joining the likes of the New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams and a handful of others.
Colts Uniform Changes
With the recent reports bound to spark both the excitement and imaginations of Colts fans across the country, let's take a look at some of the best uniform tweaks we've seen pitched on Twitter thus far.
Blue Face Mask Returns
Indianapolis started using the blue face masks for its helmets in 1995, which were a great match to their primary white uniform scheme. However, the blue face masks were short-lived as they were changed back to gray in 2004.
Blue Helmets With White Horseshoe
The Baltimore Colts made their 1953 franchise debut wearing all blue helmets, but adopted a white helmet with the blue horseshoe shortly after in 1956. While the Colts still wear these blue-helmet throwbacks every once in a while, it'd be great see a return to their original style.
Return of Striped Socks & Single-Stripe Pants
Colts' fans probably best remember images of their striped blue socks on the feet of Colts' legendary QB Johnny Unitas, which were first introduced back in 1957. It's a shame they haven't been wearing these since, as they're still a great look more than 60 years later.
While it's fun to think of all of the possibilities that come with an announcement like this, it might be wise not to get your hopes up about too radical of a uniform change. But at the very least, we do know we'll be looking at one fresh new change in the 2020 season.
