According to numberFire horse racing projections and Guaranteed Tip Sheet, these are some of the best bets to make at FanDuel Racing today. The best value option will not necessarily be the top pick(s).

FanDuel Racing's May 19 picks at Pimlico went 3-for-3 and produced an 11/1 winner on Taxed in the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes that also paid $190 on a $2 exacta bet. The May 26 picks at Belmont produced two top play winners, but both as favorites. On Sat., May 27 at Belmont, FanDuel Racing top picks went 3-for-3 including a $2 exacta payoff for $89 in Race 9.

1. Mursal and Liberty Flame, Race 6

Race 6 is a Claiming race for fillies and mares at 1 mile. The numberFire data and Guaranteed Tip Sheet both rate Liberty Flame (9/5) as a top win contender, and GTS adds Mursal (9/2) as a top pick coming off her win at this distance less than three weeks ago.

2. Pioneering Spirit and Blame D Rule Maker, Race 7

Race 7 is a Starter Allowance with 10 runners going 1 1/8 miles on the inner turf. The numberFire data believes Endowed (5/2) can hit the board but prefers More Than Work (4/1) to win. Guaranteed Tip Sheet lines up with Pioneering Spirt (6/1) and Penner Ash (3/1) as top win contenders.

Pioneering Spirt is on the outside 10 post with the meet's top jockey Jose Ortiz and top trainer Linda Rice. He was a visually impressive winner at the $40k maiden claiming level last race. The gelding Blame D Rule Maker (8/1). switched over to turf at the start of his year and has gradually improved with each start on the surface.

3. High Tide and Original, Race 8

Race 8 is a Claiming race for older horses at 7 furlongs on the turf. The numberFire algorithm projects the favorite to contend for the win in Chuck Willis (5/2). Guaranteed Tip Sheet also lists win contenders as Turn of Events (4/1) with top jockey Jose Ortiz riding and High Tide (5/1), who is by Malibu Moon and makes his 2023 debut with sharp works in place.

Chuck Willis finished second at double-digit odds in March and has been off since. Turn of Events drops in class after getting claimed for a higher price last race, which can be a concern. Soul Mate (12/1) is worth considering at a price along with Original (15/1). An improved effort is needed for Original, but he’s capable and has run better in the past, including winning a stakes race over this turf course.
