Astros Get Concerning News on New York City Weather Forecast Ahead of Game 4

The Houston Astros put together another impressive performance on Saturday night, inching one step closer to their fourth World Series appearance in the last six years. Houston holds a commanding 3-0 series lead over the New York Yankees in the ALCS and is now just 27 outs away from another date with the Fall Classic.

Unfortunately, the weather forecast in the New York City area doesn't seem to be cooperating.

Game 4 is scheduled for 7:07 p.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 23, at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx. According to the New York Metro Weather Twitter account, the forecast "continues to look unsettled" with "intermittent showers throughout the day."

It's not supposed to be a "complete washout," but "on-and-off rain will likely continue through the evening." The Weather Channel shows at least a 30% chance of precipitation (as high as 73%) all the way through midnight.

As always, the biggest concerns lie with the starting pitching. Houston does not want to get in a situation where starter Lance McCullers Jr. pitches a handful of innings, only to be held up by a stoppage of play.

The sports betting markets project a close Game 4 as the Yankees try to stave off elimination. FanDuel Sportsbook's MLB odds show the Astros as slim +104 moneyline underdogs.
