It's safe to say Brandon Drury revitalized his career during the 2022 MLB season. He tallied 87 runs scored, 28 home runs and 87 RBIs -- all career-highs -- en route to winning his first career Silver Slugger award.

Drury now enters the offseason as one of the best bats available on the open market. His ability to play multiple positions and produce at the plate should intrigue teams in need of infield depth. With that being said, here's a look at three of the most likely free agent destinations for Drury.

The time has come for the Chicago Cubs to find a way to avoid having Patrick Wisdom be an everyday starter. His power is undeniable, but it'd be better suited in a platoon role at either first base or designated hitter. Adding Drury would provide the Cubs with a player capable of hitting in the middle of the lineup and holding down third base. Drury slashed a far-superior .263/.320/.492 last year and made only 5 errors in 513 innings at the hot corner. This would be a clear upgrade for Chicago at a key position.

The Arizona Diamondbacks may not be too far off from making some noise in the NL West. They flirted with a .500 record for most of the 2022 season despite relying on numerous unproven players and prospects. The foundation is there with the likes of Daulton Varsho and Christian Walker leading the way offensively, but Drury could prove to be the missing piece to the puzzle. Adding a veteran presence like Drury could have a major positive impact on a young team in need of leadership. And if he fails to live up to expectations, he can always be dealt at the trade deadline. That sounds like a win-win scenario.
