3 Best Prop Bets for Suns vs Nuggets Game 2 on May 1 (Devin Booker Puts on a Show Inside Ball Arena)

Updated:

Monday's NBA Playoffs slate includes an exciting Game 2 showdown between the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets pulled away just before halftime in Game 1 and emerged victorious by a score of 125-107. Jamal Murray poured in 34 points while Nikola Jokic racked up 19 rebounds.

Here are three of the best prop bets for Suns-Nuggets Game 2, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Suns vs Nuggets Game 2 Player Props

1. Devin Booker - Points: Over 30.5 (-106)

The Suns were on the wrong end of a blowout in Game 1, yet Devin Booker still tallied 27 points on a 10-of-19 shooting mark. He was able to come close to cashing his points prop bet despite going just 0-for-1 from beyond the arc. That performance mirrored what happened in the first round as Booker scored 26 points in Game 1 against the Los Angeles Clippers before going off for 30+ points in Games 2 through 5. He is capable of getting hot at any time and is facing a Denver defense that ranks 20th in opponent shooting percentage (47.7%). Booker has 17 different 30-point playoff performances in his career and has a great chance at improving that mark to 18 tonight.

2. Michael Porter Jr. - Points: Under 17.5 (-106)

Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray are starting to take over for the Nuggets, which leaves players like Michael Porter Jr. with a diminished role on the offensive end of the court. Porter has scored fewer than 18 points in four of his last five games and is averaging just 11.3 points over his last three contests. He is not seeing enough volume to overcome what is a tough defensive matchup. The Suns lead the NBA when it comes to points allowed to opposing small forwards (19.2 average) and also give up an opponent shooting percentage of only 46.6% (No. 6 in NBA). This is not the time to expect a huge performance from Porter.

3. Jamal Murray - Made Threes: Over 3.5 (+120)

The Suns struggled to defend the three-point line in Game 1 as the Nuggets shot an impressive 43.2% from beyond the arc (16-of-37). Jamal Murray was the leading force from deep as he went 6-of-10 and has now tallied at least 4 three-point makes in five of his last seven games overall. The 26-year-old has a knack for stepping up in the playoffs, shooting 41.9% from three-point range during his postseason career. Murray is attempting 8.7 three-pointers per game in this playoff run and that volume alone makes this prop bet worth backing at plus odds.
