3 Best Prop Bets for Nuggets vs Kings on Dec. 28 (De'Aaron Fox Balls Out at Golden 1 Center)

3 Best Prop Bets for Nuggets vs Kings on Dec. 28 (De'Aaron Fox Balls Out at Golden 1 Center)

Updated:

Two of the best players in the NBA meet head-to-head on Wednesday night as Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets go on the road to face De'Aaron Fox and the Sacramento Kings. The Nuggets will be aiming for their sixth win in a row, while the Kings will look to snap a small two-game losing streak.

Here are three of the best prop bets for the Nuggets-Kings game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA odds.

Nuggets-Kings Player Props

1. De'Aaron Fox - Points: Over 24.5 (-113)

An injury to Damontas Sabonis leaves the Kings without a star around the rim and forces point guard De'Aaron Fox to take on an ever bigger role on offense. Fox is averaging 23.3 points per game on the season, but has reached the 25-point mark in four of his last six games played. He is shooting 51.8% from the floor during that span and has a great opportunity to keep that success going. The Nuggets are giving up the second-most points (27.8) and the third-most three-pointers made (3.3) to the PG position in 2022. Fox diced up Denver for 26 points on Tuesday night on a 10-of-16 shooting mark. He'll create enough space to hit open shots again tonight.

2. Michael Porter Jr. - Points + Rebounds + Assists: Under 25.5 (-111)

Michael Porter Jr. made his return from a nasty heel injury on Dec. 23 and has played in at least 27 minutes in each of the three games since. However, the lack of a minutes restriction has not helped him get back to his usual production quite yet. Porter has failed to rack up at least 26 points, rebounds and assists in two of those three games. He only hit the mark on Tuesday thanks to a season-high 20 field goal attempts. The Kings give up the second-fewest rebounds and the third-fewest three-pointers made to opposing small forwards in 2022. Relying on Porter to see enough work around the rim to hit this mark is not a safe bet.

3. Nikola Jokic - Assists: Over 9.5 (-154)

There's one prop bet that is worth the juiced odds on Wednesday and that is Nikola Jokic's assists mark. The two-time reigning MVP has logged at least 10 assists in each of his last five games, which includes an 11-assist performance against the Kings on Tuesday. Overall, he has tallied at least 10 assists in five of his last eight games against Sacramento. The Kings give up the seventh-most assists to opposing centers on the year and have no one capable to consistently defending Jokic on the roster. The Serbian native has a chance to hit this mark before the fourth quarter even starts, so bettors feeling risky can back Jokic to rack up 12 or more assists at +190 odds.
