3 Best Prop Bets for Jaguars vs Jets Thursday Night Football Week 16 (Zach Wilson Steps Up in Primetime)

Updated:

Week 16 of the 2022 NFL season kicks off with an AFC showdown on Thursday Night Football between the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets. With both teams still in the playoff hunt and led by talented young quarterbacks, this should be an exciting game.

Here are three of the best prop bets for the Jaguars vs Jets matchup, courtesy of NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.

Jaguars vs Jets TNF Prop Bets Tonight

1. Evan Engram - Receiving Yards: Over 38.5 (-110)

Engram has been playing out of his mind in December, hauling in 24-of-32 targets for 254 receiving yards and 3 touchdowns in three games this month. That works out to be 8 catches, 10.7 targets and 84.7 receiving yards per game. It appears he's finally gained Trevor Lawrence's trust after a slow start, drawing 25 targets in the last two games alone. The veteran tight end should see more than enough volume to hit the over here.

2. Zach Wilson - Passing Yards: Over 195.5 (-110)

Wilson will draw the start again for New York with Mike White still sidelined by a rib injury. He's coming off one of his best games of the season in which he threw for 317 yards and 2 touchdowns against the Detroit Lions, giving him a strong performance to build off this week. He's been sneakily good at home this year, topping 200 passing yards in three of four games at MetLife Stadium. He'll also have to throw a fair amount to keep up with Trevor Lawrence and should be able to take advantage of a Jacksonville defense that's allowing the fourth-most passing yards per game in the NFL (252.6).

3. Trevor Lawrence Passing TDs: Over 1.5 (+148)

Lawrence has been on fire lately, coming into his own as one of the best quarterbacks in the sport. Over his last six games, he's completed 70.4% of his passes while averaging 280 passing yards per game and posting a 14:1 TD/INT ratio. He's now thrown for multiple scores in four of his last five games and just shredded a tough Dallas Cowboys defense for 4 touchdowns last week. The Jets are stingy, but bet on Lawrence to find the end zone at least twice on Thursday.
