3 Best Prop Bets for Knicks vs Grizzlies NBA Game on FanDuel Sportsbook (Oct. 19)

Updated:

The 2022-23 NBA season gets into full swing on Wednesday with 12 exciting games set for action. One of those battles features the New York Knicks and Memphis Grizzlies in a showdown between a pair of sneaky contenders.

Here's three of the best prop bets for the Knicks-Grizzlies game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook's NBA odds.

Knicks vs Grizzlies Player Props

1. RJ Barrett - Points, Rebounds & Assists: Over 30.5 (-122)

This game features one of the highest point totals (226.5) on Wednesday's slate for good reason. The Grizzlies played at the third-fastest pace in the NBA last season and will be buzzing with the home crowd supporting them. More possessions for the Knicks means more opportunities for RJ Barrett to ball out. Barrett averaged 23.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists over his final 21 games last season before signing a massive four-year extension worth $120 million in the offseason. The pressure is on him to perform and Memphis doesn't have Jaren Jackson Jr. to protect the paint. Barrett's work around the rim will lead to a stuffed stat sheet.

2. Ja Morant - Made Threes: Under 2.5 (-132)

It's a bit surprising to see this line at 2.5 instead of 1.5. Ja Morant has never been a particularly strong shooter from downtown, averaging just 1.2 made threes per game at a 32.7% clip. It's not like the Knicks guard the perimeter poorly, either, as they allowed the sixth-lowest three-point percentage in the NBA last year (34.2%). Morant will be all over the floor as the Grizzlies attempt to start the season off with a victory. He's going to find much more success driving to the rim than launching shots from beyond the arc, though.

3. Julius Randle - Rebounds: Over 9.5 (+100)

As mentioned above, Memphis will be without Jaren Jackson Jr. for the foreseeable future as he deals with a foot injury. Ziaire Williams will also not suit up on Wednesday and Dillon Brooks is a "maybe" right now. The more unproven players that have to play for the Grizzlies, the better chance Julius Randle has at dominating the boards. Randle has averaged over 9.5 rebounds per game in each of the last three seasons and racked up double-digit boards 37 times in 2021-22. Trust Randle to be fired up and crashing the boards hard in the season opener.
