3 Best Prop Bets for Bucks vs Mavericks on Dec. 9 (Giannis Antetokounmpo Keeps Scoring Buckets with Ease)

Two of the best players in the NBA meet head-to-head on Friday night as Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks go on the road to face Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks. Each team is looking to earn its fourth consecutive victory in order to move up in its conference standings.

1. Giannis Antetokounmpo - Points: Over 30.5 (-113)

Every NBA fan knows that Giannis Antetokounmpo tends to step up when the lights are shining the brightest. He has the size and athleticism to take on any defender thrown his way and he has been proving that as of late. The Greek Freak is averaging a ridiculous 35.9 points over his last eight games and has crossed the 30-point mark seven times during that span. Keep in mind that Dallas allows an opposing shooting percentage of 47.9% (No. 24 in NBA) and gives up the fifth-most points per game to opposing power forwards. Putting guys like Dorian Finney-Smith and Maxi Kleber against one of the most dominating NBA scorers just isn't going to work.

2. Luka Doncic - Made Threes: Over 2.5 (-142)

This line immediately jumps out considering Luka Doncic has drained at least 3 three-pointers in each of his last six games. The 23-year-old has put up an insane 9.5 three-point attempts per game during that span as well. Doncic has played seven career games against the Bucks and has logged at least 3 made three-pointers in five of those seven games. Milwaukee has guarded the perimeter well this season, but did allow both Keegan Murray and Kevin Huerter to sink a trio of three-pointers in Wednesday's action. Bettors unwilling to take on the juice can shift gears to 4+ three-pointers made at +200 odds.

3. 1st Quarter Total Points: Over 54.5 (-122)

There are a ton of intriguing player props to back in this game, but more value lies in the first-quarter point total. Milwaukee and Dallas are two teams that love to come out of the gate firing. The Bucks rank fifth in the NBA in first-quarter points per game (31.0), while the Mavericks check in not too far behind at seventh (30.2). Not only that, but the first-quarter total has also hit the over in 15 of Milwaukee's 24 games and in 15 of Dallas' 23 games this season. This matchup is filled with talented scorers like Antetokounmpo, Doncic, Khris Middleton, Jrue Holiday and Spencer Dinwiddie, so back those stars to get off to a hot start.
