3 Best Prop Bets for 76ers vs Celtics Game 2 on May 3 (Jayson Tatum Stays Hot From Beyond the Arc)

Updated:

Wednesday's NBA Playoffs slate features an exciting Game 2 showdown between the Philadelphia 76ers and Boston Celtics. The 76ers scratched and clawed their way to a 119-115 Game 1 victory behind a masterful performance from James Harden, who dropped a playoff career-high 45 points.

Here are three of the best prop bets for 76ers-Celtics Game 2, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

76ers vs Celtics Game 2 Player Props

1. Jayson Tatum - Made Threes: Over 3.5 (+100)

The Celtics were getting anything they wanted down low in Game 1 as the 76ers' defense couldn't size up without All-Star center Joel Embiid. That didn't matter too much to Jayson Tatum, though, as he still went 4-of-5 from three-point range. With Embiid back tonight, look for Tatum to rely on his long-range shooting abilities even more as the lane will be clogged up. He has tallied at least 4 three-point makes in five of his seven playoff games this postseason and is attempting 9.3 three-pointers per game during that span. That volume alone makes this prop bet worth backing at favorable odds.

2. Malcolm Brogdon - Points: Over 14.5 (-106)

Malcolm Brogdon played a crucial role off Boston's bench in Game 1 as he tallied 20 points on an efficient 9-of-16 shooting mark. He has now racked up at least 10 shot attempts in each of his last six postseason games and has tallied at least 14 points in five of those contests as well. He has carried over his regular-season success where he averaged 14.9 points per game. Brogdon should be able to keep momentum going on Wednesday night given that he matches up well against Philly's second unit. The likes of De'Anthony Melton and Georges Niang can't consistently keep up with Brogdon's deep arsenal of offensive moves.

3. Tyrese Maxey - To Record 2+ Steals (+250)

One of the major highlight plays in Game 1 involved Maxey picking off a pass right before Boston's shot clock expired and taking it the other way to give Philly the lead with under 30 seconds to go. That was his fourth steal of the game as he constantly harassed the Celtics' guards. Maxey did also rack up 5 personal fouls as a result of his aggressiveness, but he found a way to make an impact on the defensive end. The 22-year-old has tallied at least 2 steals in three of the 76ers' five playoff games, making this prop bet a steal itself at +250 odds.
