3 Best NFL Survivor Pool Picks for Week 3
A slew of huge comeback wins provided plenty of excitement in Week 2. It also likely thinned out the remaining contestants in NFL survivor pools across the world, so congrats if you're still in the running.
This season won't get any easier to predict in Week 3. The Duel is here to help, though, with the three best NFL survivor pool picks for Week 3.
NFL Survivor Week 3 Picks
3. Los Angeles Chargers (vs JAX)
The Los Angeles Chargers look like one of the best teams in football. Their high-powered offense is clicking as always, but now they have a top-ranked defense behind them as well. The Chargers are No. 7 in Football Outsiders' defensive DVOA metric, making a massive leap from their No. 26 finish last season. LA nearly upset the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 2 with an injured Justin Herbert and Keenan Allen sidelined. A week of rest should prove huge ahead of a matchup with the improved Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor Lawrence is still mistake-prone, though, and the Jags' weapons just don't match the Chargers' -- assuming they're back at full strength in this one.
2. Philadelphia Eagles (at WAS)
The Philadelphia Eagles have the talent on both sides of the ball to win any type of contest. They outlasted the Detroit Lions in a 38-35 shootout in Week 1 before holding the potent Minnesota Vikings to just 7 points in Week 2. Now, Philadelphia takes on a Washington Commanders team that just lost 36-27 to Detroit this past Sunday. The Commanders' defense looks quite vulnerable after giving up the eighth-most yards over the first two weeks, which is great news for Jalen Hurts and company. The Eagles just lit the Vikings up for 486 combined yards in Week 2, including 333 passing yards and 3 total scores from Hurts. Philly's offense is a step above Washington's and their superior defense should be the deciding factor.
1. Kansas City Chiefs (at IND)
Any worries about the Kansas City Chiefs heading into the year have proven to be all for naught. Kansas City's offense remains one of the league's very best thanks to Patrick Mahomes' otherworldly talent. He's racked up a videogame-like 595 passing yards and a league-high 7 TDs (with 0 INTs) over the first two games. The Indianapolis Colts, meanwhile, are coming off of an absolute clunker against Jacksonville that exposed their underwhelming depth. Matt Ryan threw 3 interceptions and failed to crack 200 yards in a 24-0 shutout with Michael Pittman sidelined. It's unclear if Pittman will be fully healthy in Week 3, but Indy simply lacks the receiving talent to match up with KC regardless. It wouldn't be a surprise to see the Chiefs get out to a big early lead, forcing the Colts to air it out early with their mediocre receiving options and rendering star running back Jonathan Taylor useless.
