Travis Kelce Leads All NFL Wide Receivers in Surprising Category
By Larry Rupp

Kansas City Chiefs' tight end Travis Kelce is in the midst of one of the best seasons of his career as he is on pace to haul in 103 receptions for 1,367 yards and score 11 touchdowns this season. All of these marks would tie or be career highs for Kelce as he remains a focal point on the Chiefs' offense.
One thing Kelce is doing this year that he hasn't been able to do in the past is consistently catch every football thrown his way. Heading into Week 10, he leads the league in catches without a drop this season just one year after finishing with the third-most drops in the league (8).

If there was one knock on Kelce coming into the season, it was his recent issue with drops. It looks like he took the time this past offseason and really worked towards improving that element of his game. Kelce currently ranks third in the NFL in receiving yards (769) as well as yards after the catch (361).
Kelce has become a favorite target for quarterback Patrick Mahomes over the past couple of seasons and has acted as a safety blanket for the young gamechanger. Right now, Kelce is playing his way towards what would be his sixth Pro Bowl appearance and third All-Pro selection.
As the Chiefs enter their bye week, it'll be interesting to see if Kelce can keep up his ongoing pace over the second half of the season. Nevertheless, this surprising statistic is just another way to show how Kelce is one of, if not, the best tight end playing in the NFL right now.
