The Baltimore Ravens' 2000 Super Bowl-winning squad boasted one of the best defenses the NFL has ever seen. Baltimore rode that record-breaking group — led by the likes of Ray Lewis and Rod Woodson — to a commanding 34-7 win over the New York Giants in Super Bowl XXXV despite having a struggling offense.

Now that hallowed team is getting the ESPN "30-for-30" treatment.

30-for-30 Baltimore Ravens

ESPN announced Wednesday production has officially started on a Ravens-centered documentary. The film will be co-directed by Ken Rodgers and Jason Weber, along with Erik Powers as producer.

This team has the right amount of on-field dominance and off-field drama to make for a compelling subject. The Ravens' defensive excellence during this time provides a stark contrast to today's NFL world that caters to explosive offenses.

Lewis' off-field troubles prior to the 2000 regular season will likely be a major focus as well, given questions still remain regarding the murder charges he faced that were later dropped.

This is shaping up to be another all-time "30-for-30" doc, and it's sure to get people talking once it airs.
