PURE CHINO (4) dropped back in trip slightly at Mt Barker last start and never really got into the race. Her effort here two back over the 1 ³/16m was solid and she rates highly on that effort. Derrick has a good record on board this mare and she can storm home to return to winning ways. BEAUTIFUL BAROQUE (5) bumped into a good winner here last start but was game in defeat. It's been a while between drinks, though she's trending the right way this time in work and this looks to set up beautifully for her. Can lob just off the speed and get the job done as she reaches her peak. PECOS (11) flashed home to score last start at Mt Barker when straight out in trip second-up. She drops plenty of weight today for the rise in grade, but she's expected to have improved again coming into this. Ticks a few boxes and can repeat the dose. ANNIHILATOR (7) is worth including following a better effort here last start. BRAVE CONTENDER (1) can improve in a more suitable scenario today.
