Petrino vs Prachnio Prediction

Brazil's Vitor Petrino has been putting on a show to begin his MMA career. The talented 25-year-old is 8-0 thus far, which includes winning his first two UFC fights. He's knocked out five of his last six opponents, however, his latest outing saw him pick up a unanimous decision win over Anton Turkalj at UFC Fight Night 221.

Although Petrino is the clear favorite, Marcin Prachnio is no slouch, either. The Warsaw, Poland native had a rough run a few years ago but has since gone 3-1 in his last four fights. He last fought in February, overcoming William Knight by points after three rounds.

As impressive as Prachnio's turnaround has been, it's hard to forget that he's been knocked out thrice in his last seven fights. Now he must deal with Petrino, who averages 3.43 significant strikes per minute with 48% accuracy and has knocked out six of his past eight opponents.

Even if Prachnio manages to withstand his opponent's striking, Petrino is also the superior grappler, averaging 4.45 takedowns with a 77% success rate per 15 minutes. Either way, things don't look promising for the underdog.

Winner: Vitor Petrino

Petrino vs Prachnio Best Bet

This fight won't last long, which is why I'm taking Vitor Petrino to win by KO/TKO in Round 1 at +145. Of Prachnio's three most recent knockout losses, each one came in the first round. On the flip side, four of Petrino's six career KO/TKO wins occurred in the opening frame, too.

Knowing how to overhwlem the competition with blows, I see Petrino making short work of Prachnio.

Bet: Vitor Petrino by KO/TKO in Round 1 (+145)
