FanDuel Fantasy Basketball Picks & Lineup Tonight for 11/4/2022

Updated:

The 2022-23 NBA season is in full swing now that we're into November. If you need some advice on your FanDuel fantasy basketball lineup for tonight's slate, The Duel is here to help.

Here are three players to target and two to avoid in Friday, 11/4 NBA DFS action.

NBA DFS Picks Tonight 11/4/2022

Giannis Antetokounmpo Fantasy

Target Giannis Antetokounmpo, PF/SF, Milwaukee Bucks ($12,000): Giannis Antetokounmpo is the highest-priced player on tonight's slate, and for good reason. He's been a monster to begin the season, averaging a whopping 33.6 points, 12.7 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 61.9 fantasy points per game. He gets a great matchup here to keep things going in the Minnesota Timberwolves, who are just a middle-of-the-pack scoring defense and allow the fifth-most rebounds per game to opponents.

Tyler Herro Fantasy

Target Tyler Herro, SG/SF, Miami Heat ($7,000): Tyler Herro put the Heat on his back with Jimmy Butler sidelined last time out, posting a season-high 50.4 FanDuel fantasy points while recording 26 points (including the game-winning 3-pointer) and 12 rebounds. After putting up 21 shots as well, it's clear Herro will be leaned upon for scoring with Butler out again tonight versus the Indiana Pacers, who are the exact kind of team Herro could light it up against. They're surrendering the third-most points and fifth-most assists per game as well as the highest 3-point percentage in the league, putting Herro in a smash spot as Miami's No. 1 offensive option.

Cameron Johnson Fantasy

Target Cameron Johnson, SF/PF, Phoenix Suns ($4,500): Cameron Johnson is criminally underpriced given his role and consistency this season. Averaging 28.1 minutes a night, Johnson is essentially getting starting minutes, which is hard to find at this price point. He's earning those minutes, too, averaging a career-high 14.9 points per game while shooting 44.0% from beyond the arc. Johnson's registered fewer than 23 fantasy points just twice this season and is coming off of a 47.9-point showing his last time out, showcasing upside that's too hard to pass up.

Rudy Gobert Fantasy

Avoid Rudy Gobert, C, Minnesota Timberwolves ($8,700): Rudy Gobert was an avoid for his most recent game, so hopefully you listened to us. He struggled against a tough opponent in the Phoenix Suns, recording a season-low 24.3 fantasy points as he attempted just 1 field goal and finished with a season-worst 7 points. Things won't get any easier for him on Friday against the Bucks, who are one of the best defensive teams in the NBA and allow the fewest points per game. Throw in the fact Gobert is currently dealing with an illness, and it's easy to pass on the big man tonight.

D'Angelo Russell Fantasy

Avoid D'Angelo Russell, PG/SG, Minnesota Timberwolves ($7,500): Stay away from D'Angelo Russell on Friday. He's failed to score more than 12 points in four straight contests and five of his last six. His shooting has also been horrendous, as he's hitting just 39.4% of his field-goal attempts and 27.9% of his 3-point attempts. With averages of 5.8 assists per game and 4.1 rebounds per game, he doesn't have a ton of upside if he's not shooting well. Against an undefeated Milwaukee team that ranks first in defensive rating, it's hard to trust Russell here.
