FanDuel Fantasy Basketball Picks & Lineup Tonight for 11/1/2022

Updated:

The 2022-23 NBA season is in full swing as October comes to a close. If you need some advice on your FanDuel fantasy basketball lineup for tonight's slate, The Duel is here to help.

Here are three players to target and two to avoid in Tuesday, 11/1, NBA DFS action.

NBA DFS Picks Tonight 11/1/2022

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Fantasy

Target Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, PG/SG, Oklahoma City Thunder ($10,800): Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been on an absolute tear to begin the year. He's averaging a whopping 31.0 points, 7.0 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game as the Oklahoma City Thunder's main man. SGA ranks sixth in usage rate, and he'll continue to be leaned upon as the lead ball-handler with Josh Giddey sidelined. The combo guard is one of the most enticing fantasy options on Tuesday's slate.

Jimmy Butler Fantasy

Target Jimmy Butler, SF/PF, Miami Heat ($8,600): Jimmy Butler is still finding his rhythm as a scorer this season, but he's got a delicious matchup to take advantage of tonight. The Golden State Warriors are currently giving up the most PPG to opponents and own the seventh-worst defensive rating in the league. Golden State also ranks in the top ten for most RPG and APG allowed, giving Butler massive triple-double potential. Butler posted a season-high 62.2 fantasy points when he faced these same Warriors on Oct. 29, and I like the chances of a similar performance on Tuesday.

Joe Harris Fantasy

Target Joe Harris, SG/SF, Brooklyn Nets ($4,000): The Brooklyn Nets' health issues cleared the way for Joe Harris to make his first start of the year on Monday, and he came through with a season-high 21 fantasy points. This continues a trend of production for Harris, who's posted 21, 18.1 and 20 fantasy points in the three games he's played at least 22 minutes during the campaign so far. If Ben Simmons and Seth Curry sit again, and Harris isn't held out for injury management, he has at excellent shot at returning value.

Rudy Gobert Fantasy

Avoid Rudy Gobert, C, Minnesota Timberwolves ($8,700): Rudy Gobert's recent scoring troubles have held him back from major fantasy production. He's posted fewer than 32 fantasy points in three of his last four games, failing to score more than 11 actual points in each of those contests. Gobert can salvage any night with big rebounding numbers, but Tuesday's matchup presents a major hurdle in that facet. The Phoenix Suns currently hold opponents to the ninth-fewest RPG and third-fewest PPG, meaning it could be a very tough outing for the big man.

Franz Wagner Fantasy

Avoid Franz Wagner, SF/SG, Orlando Magic ($6,500): It's not been a great stretch of basketball for Franz Wagner recently. He's racked up 10 turnovers over his last three games, and that's caused him to post fewer than 21.2 fantasy points in two of outings. His season-long struggles beyond the arc (19.4% on 4.4 attempts per game) are a major obstacle in the way of lineup-worthy production. Facing an OKC defense that's top three in opponent 3PT% and top 12 in PPG, it's best to avoid Wagner tonight.
