3 Best Prop Bets for Thunder vs Timberwolves NBA Play-In Game on April 14 (Gilgeous-Alexander Can't Be Stopped)

Updated:

With the last playoff spot in the Western Conference up for grabs, the Oklahoma City Thunder and Minnesota Timberwolves will duke it out on Friday night in a do-or-die play-in game. Can the Timberwolves bounce back at home after falling to the Los Angeles Lakers in overtime? Or will the surging Thunder end their season once and for all?

Here are three of the best prop bets for the Thunder-Timberwolves game, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Thunder vs Timberwolves Player Props

1. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander - Player Points: Over 32.5 (-122)

Gilgeous-Alexander has been scoring at will all season, averaging 31.4 points per game during the regular season and dropping 32 points against the New Orleans Pelicans in the first play-in game. Overall, he's gone over 32.5 points 32 times in 69 games this season, which is a little less than half. Still, you'd expect him to push even harder tonight with OKC's season on the line, especially after averaging 32.8 points over his last five contests. It also helps his cause that the Timberwolves are subpar defensively (13th-most points allowed) and play at the seventh-fastest pace in the NBA, which should translate to plenty of shot attempts and makes for the 24-year-old star.

2. Karl-Anthony Towns - Player Rebounds: Under 9.5 (-113)

KAT's rebounding numbers were strangely low this year, as his 8.1 boards per game were by far the lowest of his career. That's remained true over the past few weeks as well, as he's gone under 9.5 rebounds in seven of his nine games since returning from injury. The veteran big man just hasn't shown the same aggression on the glass this year, and it's hard to bet the Over when he's registered double-digit rebounds in only 11 of 30 games (36.7 percent) this season.

3. Josh Giddey - Player Made Threes: Over 1.5 (-113)

Giddey struggled with his three-point shot for much of the season, but he found it just in time for the playoffs. He's stepped up his outside shooting over the past several weeks, draining multiple threes in six of his last 10 games. He's averaged 1.7 makes on 4.8 attempts during that span, shooting a solid 35.4 percent from downtown. Giddey is heating up from beyond the arc after drilling at least two treys in three of his last four games, so ride the hot hand here.
